Just blown in

Yesterdays solo cyclist was Rob Godman, a Composer and Senior Lecturer from Hertfordshire.
Our first John O Groats to Lands End traveller. Rob was originally cycling with his friend John Thorpe who has now completed the journey. Rob however had to break the journey and is now travelling alone.
Rob cycled from Glasgow to Gretna Green through high winds and rain and is hoping to reach Liverpool tonight in similar conditions.
Rob and John are seeking donations for Great Ormonds Street Hospital and the Hospice of St Francis.

Good luck Rob. Hope the weather improves.

Trek 5. The search for spoke.

Yesterdays happy trekers were Tim Ralph and Luke Lengiewicz who hail from Harrogate.
Tim and Luke are raising money for Henshaws Society for Blind People.
Luke was on the look out for a cycle shop to repair a broken spoke. So they will be stopping off in Dumfries which has a good selection of cycle shops.
Like most cyclists they said the hardest part of the journey was through cornwall where they were burning off over 7000 calories a day (according to the monitor). A good way to stay slim.
