Who needs a bike

Long distance walker Rod Cooper was last nights visitor.
Rod is walking between Lymington on the south coast to Edinburgh.
Rod says the highlights of his walk have been the new forest and the pennine way and crossing the border. He cant believe his luck at having good weather for most of the journey.
He decided to do the walk after retiring and having more time on his hands.
Next stop Ecclefechan. Good luck Rod.

Father and Son

Three Lejog visitors last night from the Isle of Man. These were David and Oliver Dean (father and son) and Wayne Hargrave, who was their support driver towing all the spares in a horse van.
David who has completed the journey before said the lowlight was having to squeeze out their socks and gloves after an arduous first day.
The photo is Oliver (the other two had disappeared before I had chance to take a photo). Oliver is raising money for the Pakistan flood appeal

The trio were last seen heading towards Ardrossan for the ferry to Arran.

Late night visitors

It was 10 o clock at night and I was on my way back from the takeaway with a pizza. I spotted these two reading a map so I asked if they needed a room for the night (touting for business as usual).
This is Richard and Jamies first attempt at cycling end to end (John o Groats to Lands End) and hope to reach Manchester tonight. They are cycling just for fun but the cheeky young lads still wanted sponsoring.
The weather looks good today so heres wishing them the best of luck.
